WP7 meeting in Azores

The WP7 meeting was held from February 23-25, 2016 in the Azores (Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel island).

The meeting was also an additional opportunity to discuss the ongoing Pilot Phase before the final meeting.

A field trip has also been organised by the CIVISA partner after the Meeting.

Caldeira de Pêro Botelho is the loudest fumarole at the Furnas Village fumarolic field. It’s named after the devil and the grey mud is used for fango.

Scar of a 1997 landslide at Ribeira Quente. Triggered by heavy rainfall, many landslides caused large destruction on October 31st 1997, killed 29 persons and left the village isolated for more than 12 hours.
